Want to save the world? Or at least your-self?
Greetings,
Eyecatching headliner, I know. How does one follow up such a grandiose claim?
I know one way. It is really simple. It is a relaxed solution to the excessive tension in the world today.
And it is really simple.
Really really simple. And it is a step that is taken individually and has a massive positive impact on the collective.
Really really hard to do though.
I’ve done it, so I know anyone can. It calms you down, generally. It expands the day. It leaves you with more time. You sleep better.
Violent crime rates fall. Children don’t get sexualized.
Fantasy recedes and a comfortable rapport with reality is allowed to find expression sans ridicule.
Scaley cataracts will dry and peel of your discerning, inner eye.
Relationships will improve. Sounds nice, eh?
Truth, living!
How does one get a herione addict off heroine though?
It is really that difficult in practice. And it is exactly that easy in fact or operation or better yet, it’s three dimensional expression.
Switch off your TV.
Get back to living.
Ba an engine of cause, not an instrument at effect!

Vivek,
I can attest to the benefits you describe, having switched the TV off more than 3 years ago. No regrets. Question is that if the change is not fully conscious and the intention to minimize the ‘negative noise’ – not sustained, it can easily be replaced with internet browsing, radio listening, movie watching, etc similar activities instead of benefiting from the extended inner & outer silence, meditation and mastering the art of ‘doing nothing’
Off the Save it ALL
i agree with Darina, but TV is by far the worst offender. The images on TV are of a uniformly bad vibration, whereas on the internet atleast one has blogs like these. Besides, it seems that with TV, the medium is the message, as the 50KHz flicker is invisible to the eye but physiologically addictive (citation needed), which is why people sometimes spend hours looking for something to watch on TV.
It must be admitted though, that the net is looking more and more like TV. Move to dialup. Pay the neighbourhood net cafe to do your torrents and go over with your USB stick once a week or so. I had to do this recently and it worked awesome.
What is it that makes us turn this magic into filth? Could it be our consciousness (or lack thereof) ? The barrage of thoughts is reaching fever pitch. It is now a mania.
Tune out.
The lurking monster on the net is pornography. Always less than 3 clicks away from almost any page on the net. Something else that might be seriously under radar on the net is subliminal advertising. They regulated it on TV and in the movies, but the web is the wild west of advertising.
Everything, and more so than any other time in memory, is Caveat Emptor!
anadianant, I’m enjoying your site! I wish there were more of us who see everything going wrong and won’t stop looking for solutions. The latest focus of my blog: accelerating positive change by changing the way money works.
Jay, fighting the good fight I see! Awesome. Of all the agencies, the IRS, in it’s sheer illegality and blatant coercive, mafioso style of functioning is one of the worst offenders.
I used to hate paying my taxes too.
Glad you are enjoying some of my posts here.
I came across your site courtesy of ZH.
I don’t post there, but read quite a bit, and find some the ideas interesting and worth dwelling upon.
I am a fellow desi like you, working for corporate America in Los Angeles.
Keep up the good writing, you’re definitely on to something remarkable here.
howdy Sharad, LALA land eh. Now that is quite a place to study the grip of maya. Come back and add your voice to the mix as you feel appropriate.
