Wisdom for Warriors-6

January 27, 2011

Today’s topic is the age-old ad-age;

As with-out, so with-in.

It’s really something to understand in the deepest possible way. For me, it is a daily quest. To realize the fractal nature of the universe. Just as supermassive black-holes hold infinite energy, so do infinitesimal spaces inside atoms contain the same infinitude.

Spirals everywhere. The ability to see a few dimensions above and below your sensorially available ones.

A honed in-stinct.

Now, if you want to understand the transcendence of language, you have to under-stand absolute self-referentiality. Make sense? Perfect self-reference would be without descriptor.

Like this…

Can you see/not see it? I’m totally serious.

That is the picture of total self-referentiality. Beyond words. Our words.

Where do you start and where do you end? Anadi- without beginning. Anant- without end.

Anadianant. see it now? 😉

And that is the total recognition of As with-out, so with-in.

This is important. Realize what the Tao Teh Ching meant about the spear and the claw of the tiger finding no place in a true warrior.

Beyond the battle. Can a line ever contain a triangle? Can a tri-angle ever contain a pyramid?

And what is defeat but containment. Think about that too. What is defeat but a containment?

Why would one ever want to be contained?

The opposite of defeat is liberation.

As without so within. There is no other. Only the other engenders fear. So there is no fear.

To be un-fearing is to be in absolute truth.

Quite the place to be, eh?  Imagine where you could jump to from there?

hi anadianant, nice thoughts and dots you have. I`m calmly enjoying all the posts .
When I first heard of Coreexit, i thought of the word “corrects it” as in this will fix that.

    • January 30, 2011 8:24 am

Sri, glad you feel that way. I think corrects-it might be the way the makers wanted it to sound. Core Exit puts a whole other spin on it eh?

‘Containment’ is an illusion. Remember what the Tao said, “one can find out about the world without leaving the confinement of his own home”. If ‘containment’ is an illusion, than ‘defeat’ is also one. One can not measure the successful attainment of knowledge, as I believe the bible correctly honors the wisdom of a child over that of the supposed wise. The child has not left home either. Experience can more easily lead one away from attaining true knowledge in many cases. Which could bring one to another important point, it’s not how much one knows measured by faulty methods of testing, but how much one allows oneself to freely live.
One of my favorite songs is Madonna’s ‘Like a Virgin’ because I believe it hits on the point that ‘Virginity’ is not a physical state, but a mental, spiritual state. One can lose the physical virginity easily, and yet, through the proper remorse and consequent repentant actions and re-alignment of the internal spirit, re-attain the respect and honor of the natural order again and thus achieve the type of harmony something like ‘virginity’ offers. So, one’s narrow awareness of physical laws can mislead one to believe that one has true knowledge but in fact only strengthens ones ignorance of the bigger picture of how those laws actually fit. Top down approach, the spiritual youth win, the bottoms up approach could well be impossible. We all have the ability to be young again, aging and time are the real illusions.

      Michael, good points all.
The important thing to remember though, it is an illusion when you really “see” the illusion. Till then it is real and the illusory nature of it just a construct, a mental construct.
As another example of the same, we are all one. But that is only when you really are in that space. Then you would not even need to say it. BUt till then, it is just a concept. Yet another construct.
So, living, truly living what you have written would…well, it would just be. Till then, that is a mighty fine philosophy.
      What do you say?
The mind is the constructor, the Body, it will hurt when you walk into a wall. Till it won’t.

Semantics and language are real hurdles. You mention equality, and that is a tough concept to contemplate, especially when one grows up in such a competitive society. But, this so-called competitive society is turning out to be such a farce anyway…LOL. But, maybe an equally hated term would be that of authoritarianism. The authority rests with the One, and (by reason of the Incarnate Human) He is good. Evil is just one tool that can easily be the strongest illusion we all may fall prey to. We must never forget, that the One created something from nothing, He brings good from evil. The more I personally think of this, the more I want to step back and let Him do His job and only do what I think I am called to do. This is authoritarian yet it is also trusting that He is good. I believe you are right about equality, though it is somewhat damaging to many achievers’ egos. Too much identity is tied up in achieving and accumulating, which deceptively prevents some who are not so talented or not talented at all in realizing any of the natural dignity and meaning they have.
Gregory the Great had a great thought, he BELIEVED in the end, God would simply over power all into the strength and warmth with His love, Hell would just disappear and all the beings that inhabit it would be released from the terrible tortures of their own wills. It simply makes too much sense that this will happen. Course, time is the buzz word, and we all know how quickly time flies, in twenty years giver or take a few years if I’m lucky, I will be dead, no more time for me then.
