The Sound of Drums… Antar-Naad

April 27, 2011

I hear the sound of distant drums. Do you? If not, I suggest you practice deepening your hearing. Now in life, nothing is meant to happen directly. The current, direct, peer, slash, infect, disable, diabolical version of the ‘scientific-method” dystopia that we currently inhabit, is an anomaly. A big one at that. Real life un-folds in resonant, higher dimensions. Cause and effect like a slap-ouch relationship, gross, hardly how nature grows, eh? Every day I step out and the mango on my tree is bigger…overnight, im-perceptible, relentless, silent outpouring. Tha is how nature works. We are a grinding cacophony of a species, us and our tech-no-logical symbyotes anyways.

How did a sentient species go so far wrong so quickly when animals and savages have managed just fine for millenea? Look at the word technological.

Can you see it? And whats it got to do with deepening one’s hearing anyways?

Everything as it turns out.

Most technology has to be handled with safety. Cars, Bikes, Hammers, Saws, Elevators, Trains, Planes…. everywhere around tech-no-logical things is a societally remembered safety-zone. In that zone, no human being can be normal. He has to keep the safety zone of the machine and thus the machine always in his mind.

Now think about how much tech-no-logical gadgetry is in-truding into our individual and collective spaces. it’s everywhere. We are in constant interaction with our tech-no-logical wonders.

it’s Heisenberg’s un-certainty principle applied to life. Tech-no-logical marvels (pretty much everything within a foot or less of you to begin with) and us co-exist in such a way that we can never be our-selves.

Always have to play safe, be un-natural near tech-no-logical advances.

Faster, more power-full, meaner, championitis inducing…. this is the thrust of the tech-no-logical wave we are riding. And see what it has turned us into. We all have our safety zones of our own. Places where even we do not enter.

What then can we really hear? We listen a lot. But do we actually hear?

Yet, we have an inner silence that is always calling us. It sounds like drums till it doesn’t anymore, if you know what I mean.

It’s a critical issue for this time. The machine is making us, by it’s constant and varied intrusion in our lives (of which the cell phone is the crowning glory, joined to us at the hip, as it were… it has made us borgs without our even realizing it. E-mail and browsing on the go… now I’m stuck to a machine that begs for molly-coddling, attention, money….), has changed our very being-ness. Look at the humor of this as I broadcast this thought via the machine network…

We are forever co-evolving with the machine…adjusting, com-promising, dealing with loss of life and limb and nature…. if the analogy is not clear to you, you really should ponder it.

Only those brave enough to get off this tech-no-logical grid will be able to perceive any reality. For the rest, it’s the Truman Show… 24X7X365…..

And hearing is the perceptive part of listening. Like seeing is the perceptive part of watching. And feel is the perceptive part of touch…. like that.

Perception is awareness.

Awareness can be deepened back to the source.

There, eyes that see and ears that hear…

The sounds of distant drums…

yes I’ve been thinking of this myslef..I think it’s unfair to balme technology–but NOT unfair to balme people who use that technology.

Technology has been able to hide guilt–and the gluttonous appetite of risk-wrongdoing..: think about bankiing and hft–how the govt goes along wiht the legal frontrunning and cheating–as of someone cheating or eavesdropping on others conversations to use that knowledge for their own gain..
yep-knew it was coming when GW signed off on surveillance using “natl security” as the premise to take us to police state–and allow companies to take/loot/pilfer the middle class via ‘technology”..
“enhanced interrogation” is another–a use of some made up “technological term–to distance guilt from teh fact that it is the smae inhumane treatment as torture–banned by US long ago..
Knew it was happening when large companies were allowed to monopolize food chains and plants (Monsanto)–claiming “genetic engineering” as means to monopolize agriculture and farming..
Drone attacks and HAARP are other ones–where people can simple use joysticks and push buttons–where the horror of dispicable murders or harmful storms have miles of distance so the killer never sees the kill and therfore never thinks of hands as those of a murderer or killer….
The US since the Coldawar after divvying up the spoils of war with sev other EU nations–thought itself imperialist controller or GOD over others/countries with their sham ‘freedom” and democracy talk..
They know nothing of either–and thier actions of propping up dictators and military endeavors proves it..
The rest of world is waking up to this also–and is also sick of US and thier “technological” might being used for 50 yrs now–to imprison them and thier future to “US friendly” corrupt tyrants..
Started in Caspian area–with this area getting stuck with horrible dictators who d sell the US cheap oil–and has now spread from Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt–and most of Africa/middle East–as the world wakes up to US lies of “democracy and “freedom” by the barrel of a gun..
As an American horrified daily by what I see-and how far the GOP/Bush regime took this country down: .deficit-wise-war-wise..even racism and brainwashing-wise–and economic downturn is actually a blessing in disguise to stop the military looters and capitalistic looters of WS..The world appears to be on the same schedule for change..
Change from too much maleness–too much competitiveness-too much emotion and not enough a more evolved one of cooperation/femaleness–“healing/kindness” and use of the HEART when thinking..

I have never owned a cellphone. They gave us a Nokia before I retired. I always left mine in the desk. The guy I rode wit would say did you bring your cellphone and I would say no you have yours that is all we need, I am not into brain cancer and he would laugh and shake his head.

A couple of years after I retired he did too, a medical for a tumor inside his brain right by where the cellphone goes. He had it cut out and had to learn to walk again. When he was better we were having a get together and said you know we talked about those cellphones but you were just not a good listener. He just laughed.

The higher decibel ching-dong-crank eardrum cracking of industrial machines or the low humming of hand-helds are all trade-off of what-we-want-or-accept so getting poisoned gradually was the “payments”

Same as on all other what-we-want-or-accept in this Doctor Who sub-universe of ours, here at this juncture.

We are too lazy to do the critical thinking and learning so go-ahead-you-do-it, elites. Hand off the “powers” and over milleniua, we became slaves to our own “non-creations”, what a pro-gress.

Lately I am “hearing” (feeling) a low humming constant wave-sound that hover just next to my ear-drums, not un-comfortable or annoying kind…Getting old, or hearing the drum you referring to?

A friend came out for dinner to our rural home last weekend from the city…she said upon getting out of the car into the open air, she heard a ringing in her ears, a constant hum, as if her brain had been performing sound cancellation 24/7

Vivek – Is this real as it appears or? I assume you are aware of it and here in US we do not get world news only what PRAVDA wants us to hear and see?

it appears to be ral and not sure of complications, but sounds ominous . Why would China have troops there unless planning some kind of action with Paki ? Apparently along border and LOC?

Anything is possible…But imho, they’re afraid of flood of refugees if all-out war breaks out between the two long-time rivals. Then again, all three are on the 33N.

    • April 30, 2011 12:40 pm

Stephen, old story, on-going. All border areas were scrawled onto maps by the British, knowing that future troubles would ensue, as they have.
India/Pak are now clearly in the hands of the US/Israel control complex. Long/old ties with the soviets too. Not sure how it will all play out in the coming war.
Not well though, that much is sure eh?

V Wong – The entire populous of the world has given over power to the so called “professionals”. Here in US that would be doctors/lawyers/accountants/poloticians/corrupt judges/and a completly corrupt government sponsored oligarchy. I see it as giving over our ppower to the “kings of the earth” and the “Great Babylon” as described in the bible many times. Big mistake on all counts in retrospect.

I think that noise is tinitus, a coomon malady in this noise saturated system we live in. We all have it to some degree, unless we live in the jungle or some where without electricity. Sounding better all the while.

    Thanks, Stephen, su, and WVally.
I experienced tinnitus possibly due to I have nasal allergy.
I do not listen to loud music, and frequently clean my eardrum, and hasn’t eaten meat for a couple of years, it does not recur that often…Then again, you never know…

This feels different, more along WVally’s description.

    Thanks for sharing.

Here, where I live, dissonant calls ring out over poor speaker systems, distorted beyond anything, just noise, all the time. The muezzin, politics, hindu holy songs, sales… all mixing in….

We’ve really lost “it”, drowning in every sense… all part of in-dust-realization!!! 🙂

    • May 2, 2011 4:21 pm

Stephen, then the Chinese mass somewhere, really mass, like they did back in 1962, I’d worry. All this border nonsense has been background noise since India’s independence in 1947. A loving, divide and rule parting gift from the brits.
But this is clearly a theater of interest, hmmmmm? 33rd parallel and all. Now Osama, Obama…. oh mama!
What will the rest of this week bring?

you say to use of the heart when thinking.

yes – the only brain worth using is the heart.
it is the one silenced by knowledge.
and yet is it the true master.
    ever present,
    ever aware.
nothing needs to be done to reach it –
it is what we are ………..

sitting in the garden, in the autumn sun.
a chorus of birds delighting me – the conductor unseen
breathing so that awareness is in the heart and not the mind
    a peace prevails
    so deep
    so sweet
    so vital……..

right here, right now – perfection is.

This is, of course, not the first time this issue has been raised. Maybe the most exposure regarding this topic came as a result of the musings of one Mr. Ted Kaczynski several years ago. He became quite notorious as his means to emphasize his concerns regarding this matter were a bit controversial, to say the least. (summary)

The Unabomber -Ted was one sick puppy . It one thing to “unplug” yourself . It is quite another to try to make others do the same with bombs. In all honesty I think ORI is saying that at some point in the near future there is a possibility/likleyhood that there will be a techno crash (one thing that could cause it would be a large solar flare) . Those that are not completely reliant on tech will be fine those that are will panic and create a lot of problems .Example – let’s say that a large solar flare wipes out the electric grid , No atm’s , no computers – no gas for cars , no grocery stores, no phones ,no TV , no radio who lives and who dies in a situation like that ? 99 .9% of the people I know would not make it including myself .

    • May 2, 2011 4:18 pm

Very true Don. In fact, only recently did I really understand that Ted K was actually an out and out luddite.
I’m a luddite too, though I like to call myself a tech-no-luddite. More on that shortly.
Ted chose a silly method to make himself heard. Or was he a massive patsy? Who really knows, eh?

Ah yes… The beating pulse of nature, is quickening…

    I wrote about this too, in a relative kind of way. I haven’t gone live with it yet, so I will give you a preview, here is an excerpt;

“Unfortunately time is of the essence, (and that is an interesting expression in itself) there is always an allotted time for something to happen, as with any experiment. If there isn’t a sufficient number of human beings attaining higher levels of consciousness, then the experiment will be swept aside and something else will take its place. If you are alive and reading this, you must take heed and work on yourself now.

There is no afterlife, unless you achieve on your own, a certain degree of consciousness which melds with immortality. Sin does not mean problems of the flesh… Sin means missing the mark… “

Hey Eso, nice piece. The link above does not work. Just landed on your home-page and clicked the image.

By the way, i found the comment system on your blog tough from the get-go. Was I not trying hard enough?

    Thanks for the look see!

As for the comment system, what can I say other than difficulty itself, only needs the two
“P’s ” (Patience and Persistence) to be overcome in anything.

Great post BTW always food for thought.

I hear you loud and clear.

I see humans devolving in technology. We have devolved as a species in social interaction. The only interaction that matters between two humans. The only interaction that matters and is the root cause of all conflict and root cause of all we are today including technology. And, technology is taking us to where we won’t be able to produce technology because we have devolved socially so far that we cannot sustain the human organizations required to have the technology. The current slave/master relationship in the business world has to come to an end some time and we see it happening already. No matter if it is called capitalism or communism or feudalism or something else today and yesterday, it has always been a slave/master relationship at the core and crap like “free to work” and “voting” and “shareholder value” and “career vs. job” has all blinded us to this very basic truth.

Technology made us devolve socially and that is why we are here today. Factories, cubicals, cell phones, twitter, internet, TV, movies, email, cars all help us pervert human interaction and make it easier to deceive and exploit each other. These are tools which made more of the tools possible and deceit and exploitation has created more of these tools of oppression and in turn create more tools of deceit.

Humans today do not know how to be honest and genuine for the most part and call being manipulative a deceitful a virtue by the nature of competition. Humans have lost the art of real human communication and interaction and these “tools” only make us more lost and make real communication more difficult. Twitter and facebook don’t help us build social relations, they destroy it by the nature of their fantasy and delusion and ease of deceit built into these tools and even by the admission of the founder of facebook, it was built to decieve others to like them.

The “solution” of technology is the problem itself. It is self validating by a false principle. Or put another way, all the problems that these solutions are attempting to fix would be gone if the “solution” was abandoned. And realize that the only place where there is no final and real solution is the idea that there is a solution to everything and that solution involves technology and deceit and manipulation and power.

The problem is the belief we have the power to solve everything when we use that power, we create new problems which need more solutions which means more problems.

The problem is the fundamental belief in science that anything is possible and humans have no limitations what so ever. Sounds like an insane person believing in the power of their own omnipotence and sounds like a psychopath who believe he is grandiose. And, there are many people in life who believe this insane view of the world is actually virtue and something to be looked up to. By definition, this belief makes these “rational” scientists insane. Isn’t is funny how the rational ends up being the insane one?

Isn’t it ironic how “common sense” in the world today and “common rational beliefs” are really common insanity? That those who claim the most rational sanity are the most insane of them all?
