Finally @ OWS ….. Flash de-Mob, please

Greetings,

Today is perhaps as good a day as any to understand one of nature’s inviolate/inviolable laws.

It is called the Law of the Equalization of Opposites.

Opposites create a difference of potential, which is parlayed into a flow of the kinetic, to the point where the potential difference is equalized OR the intermediary (Wires in the case of electricity, lines of force in the case of magnetism, rivers in the case of water etc.) is removed, it being the vehicle and the medium for said kinetic energy transfer.

Why is this pertinent to OWS?

the 1% is one system. the 99% is/are another. The meeting point, in the case of OWS is the picket/police line. Your collective rage is Potential energy. Your righteous rage is potential energy. Let’s call it good potential energy. They are empty of good but are full of the “potential” for violence.

When your two systems interact, you get a load of their bad energy, at the kinetic end of a billy club, or a kick in the face or worse.

in exchange, since all flows are two-sided, they get your good angst to work with.

Please ponder this carefully. This simple understanding of the inviolable law of the balancing of opposites is the reason no revolution in known history has ever “succeeded”. None. Any seeming success was a mirage.

You push against them, you give them your good energy and take on their bad.

Why play their game? Do an inventory of what you stand to gain and what you stand to lose. The finest warriors understood this, the basis of the art of war. A time to stand and do battle and a time to melt away….

In protesting this way, you have nothing to gain and everything, including life and limb to lose. It is point-less. Think how easily an agent provocateur can make an impassioned mob go crazy. And how brutally the other side can respond.

Don’t play in a game where the rules can be changed on a dime and whim by the other side.

Make your own rules. individually first. It’s collective expression will un-fold naturally.

Nature is replete with examples of how opposition CAN be used. A salmon is a shining example.

Be like that.

Flash De-mob. Melt away. Your/our day will come. But not by force.

Naturally.

Be well and safe and sensible…

May peace be upon us all.

Vivek

Very well written. You are 100% right. Make you think, who is actually behind the OWS?

But Wisdom is seldom listened to ….do you think ?

Seems that most of Mankind only changes painfully,
and only when forced to listen to reason….because….
he has exhausted all other possibilities.
    Then….and only then……does he finally…..”Accept” !

Ahhh, but lets spend little time fretting !
    ….it is so….”non-productive”.

One is only Strong by…….”Standing for Something”,

Brother Ray, I think we are in peak denial now. Like peak everything else. It’s all very well and cyclical and all that.

Good advice, no waste fret energy.

      Just be!

Vivek, your posts regarding OWS are very timely, and I agree that we need no Messiahs. Occupy protesters are putting themselves in harm’s way to no clear end. The best protest is to not give that which we oppose, our energy.

Indeed Tuttysan. But there is a madness in the air now. Death is the flavour of the season, or actually killing is, seemingly.
      Quite the time, really…..

There’s a great little 3 minute video on Forbidden Knowledge TV.com wherein the Prime Minister of Bhutan stands before the UN and respectfully confronts them. Quite refreshing and worth the watch. Not knowing how to link it, it’s at the aforementioned dot com/page/5382.html.

      Thanks Nadall,
      .
I managed to find it ok…
Only if more leaders would hold forth
      in such a manner.
      As a real “parent”.

John Lennon said it best eh….IMAGINE !

Very interesting Nadall. Un-fortunately, Bhutan, so strategically located, is in the Grip of India (the not good, political class India) and is just another vassal state.
I trekked Bhutan for two weeks in 1984. Used to be incredible. Just incredible.

And how have you been? Got some rain?

Many Dr. visits, but I’m still here! 🙂 Rain? Well…. sorta. There’s a bowl over my neighborhood. We got 1/4 inch Sept. 2010 and 1/2 inch this October. I’m pretty sure that qualifies for desert, yes? They’ve made it illegal to do any outside watering of trees/lawns/plants, closed down all the carwashes and so forth. The lakes are pretty much puddles. Interesting times, as in the ancient Chinese curse (I’m told). It’s just that kind of time, right? Mentally though, I’m doing great and wouldn’t change anything except for the cruelty quotient that’s in the air, but, alas, I reckon all is as it must be for now. Been doing lots of getting rid of/giving away/cleaning, flushing …. autumn stuff really. So, all in all, doing great. Thanks for asking. Is your friend ok?

DarinaJoy, so good to hear from you. I was thinking about you and a couple of the other ‘disappeared’ ones not two hours before your post showed up.
