Toroidal Vortices and the magic of stillness…

October 23, 2011

Recently, I have felt a lot of inner (and therefore outer) commotion in my life. It’s been like I remember a storm in my Navy days, returning from Madras to Vishakapatnam, a bay of Bengal Storm, in a Russian Missile Cruiser meant to take 60 degree rolls (either side) and pitches so I could see the Bowside keel of the accompanying ships as they rose and then fell till their foc’stle was swamped under. Incredible stuff.

Really like that. A storm swept through my life. Event upon event.

I am a sitter till the universe signals it’s time to move. But here I felt, just like in that storm, pulled by forces greater than my power to with-stand. Notice withstand by the way. We think of it as being somehow in opposition. I withstood it.

Withstood? Stood with is somehow in opposition to?

How deep and wide is the gap in the semantics and origins of this language. Ironically, in this age of iron, the lingua franca of the world. It has not withstood the ravages of manipulation too well has it?

I want to withstand you.

I tell you, every dive into etymology leaves me feeling a little less mad and a little more awed.

see commotion for instance. The whole lead-up to this point was, no one like a commotion, yes?

I’m sure you are seeing it already.

commotion Look up commotion at Dictionary.comlate 14c., from M.Fr. commocion “violent motion, agitation” (12c., Mod.Fr. commotion), from L. commotionem (nom. commotio) “violent motion, agitation,” noun of action from pp. stem of commovere “to move, disturb,” from com- “together,” or “thoroughly” (see com-) + movere “to move” (see move).

To move with is bad? What’s that commotion I hear?

We always hear a commotion.

Where does that take us? You see what I mean? This is a dangerous sword  of a language that we know not what it sneaks when one of speaks. And yet here we are, trying to under-stand each other through this it’s medium-ship (see, not large or small, just medium-ship). 😉

It is good to know your tools and better to know your weapons intimately.

Is it any wonder half the world is Driven to Dis-traction. As simple as that. Like the smooth marble tiles below our feet, loss of traction…..

So, stillness. I was craving stillness. Found my center. And realized this, again I think, but perhaps more timely now and never shared.

In stillness, the inner tornado brings to us what is naturally called to us. It is the source of so called animal magnetism. Some animals (and humans) can mesmerize with their eyes using the force of the same inner vortex. Likewise with the voice.

All of our ex-pressions are driven by that inner vortex. It is the pattern created between that vortex’s outer, growth, masculine desire and the natural, maternal, limiting physical womb and the mother’s supporting musculo-skeletal structure that de-fines us.  see that? We are de-fined when we take this gross body/shape.

It is that vortex that feeds breath. In and out. Our nasal passage is an intricate vortex generator.

So, in the so-called Sat-yug (the age of truth), perhaps everyone’s inner vortex was so powerful that everything they needed to complete their 4 stage cycle was im-pelled to them.

Now, at this fourth turning, our inner vortex’s are weak and so their vorticular ex-pressions are weak.

Now anyone teaching lung-pumping exercises is an insta-guru. So many people being lung-pumped astray.

Our inner vortex is at it’s weakest ebb. Nobody’s fault. It has been millenia in making.

That is the “spark” that is diminishing. Making us generally more coarse as creatures. Every successive generation.

In still-ness though…. Consciously breathing out to the bottom of the vortex, it’s source and then un-consciously breathing in through the natural vorticular construct of our nasal passage.

By breathing out that deeply, you nourish your whole body. Pran (commonly written and pronounced prana) flows opposite to the physical breath. A double toroidal pump.

In stillness and in breath (the paying of attention to it), you can wind up that inner vortex. By finding it’s core and holding it, it/you begin to find “form” again.

In Still-ness.

Now, if take my advice, let the following video load up fully, transfer to full screen mode, make sure you have a good set of speakers on, turn off the lights and lose yourself.

So you can find your “Self”

I loved it. Transcendental……

May peace….be upoooooooooon… all….

Thanks for the link my friend, fascinating contrasts, that take us to either side of the energy pendulum…

The plural of “vortex” is “vortexes,” not “vortex’s.”

Have you seen the movie ‘Nobody’?
Language is so feeble, or is it a defense lest we are truly known?
Without humans in the forest, what do the animals hear when a tree falls?
Without ears, what is experienced in the forest when a tree falls?

Who hears a tree fall if there’s no one in the forest?
      It takes two to tango!

      In Still-ness.

      Thanks for sharing.

And it takes just one hand to clap?
Surely those Zen masters were full of it eh, Vee?
Wisdom that is. Brimful of Wisdom.

        Thanks for sharing.

Nope dwn. Will look. India is a bit of a wasteland for off-beat literature/media.

      But yes, as you say.

      Thanks for sharing.

Not seeking thanks (for sharing). Perhaps too oblique in the question.
The idea exists that humans co-create reality.
Another idea exists that creation was a one-off and humans exist in it.

My question is also a caution.

The forest exists, true or false with or without humans?
Human experience of the forest is individual but shared to some extent. Shared experience “creates” a reality within human cognition but does it change the forest?
        Hubris alert!

        • October 27, 2011 6:43 pm

Let me ask a bigger question. Without language, do human’s exist?

          • dwm permalink
            October 28, 2011 6:51 pm

Without senses there would be no language so no humans as currently understood would be in the forest.

Perhaps “others” would be thinking and emoting in the forest in our stead.
Maybe they would call themselves human 🙂

Your comments at ZH are perceptive (in my view) so here i am.

We are here and we have language which may be used to mislead.
Co-creation is an idea that may be misleading, as in the economic sense that labour does not create but merely transforms that which exists.

Without lightning, would the semiconductor exist? Cheers.

            • October 31, 2011 5:32 am

Nice dwm. If we keep asking that question all the way back…cause/effect, cause/effect, we might whittle it down to something “grasp-able”, eh?

Glad you are here and thanks for sharing.

Very (to me) interesting 17 second video with much longer article at regarding torrents/vortices about how the earth/sun/moon etc. actually travel through space.

    • October 31, 2011 5:30 am

Hey Nadall, why doctors? Meant to ask earlier. Are you all clued up on natural remedial things like Vit C and Magnesium Chloride and H2O2? Hmmm?
will post a general list later today.

Meanwhile, that Vortex, it’s at the heart of everything, including us.

      “Hug”…. be well.

I’m well aware of the ‘evil’ AMA and FDA, yup. But the Dr’s are in this case, necessary. Long and boring story. I noticed a brief reference to H2O2 in an earlier post of your’s so ordered a gallon of food grade online. (I’ve been trying to get well since 1983 and have probably, by now tried virtually everything) 3 drops to glass of water 3x day….wow. Like I bit the devil in the butt. Not sure if connected, but I’m thinking this aging diseased liver couldn’t handle all the crap from detoxing. Also other unpleasant (possible) side affects. Or maybe just allergies kicked up horribly. Anyway, did 2 quick liver flushes and quit the H2O2 for a bit. Am better, but still sore. Will do a more complete flush and try again because it might have been co-inci-dense. I am not familiar with Magnesium Chloride (and here I thought I knew everything) Thanks for the hug. Much appreciated.
The ever intrepid, never say die, that’s Nadall folks me

Forever blowing bubbles. Can our observable universe be constructed entirely of the same energy moving in opposite directions with unbalanced force?

So a dolphin blows a water ring…… should see the smokes rings i can blow 🙂

Ori, i find it best to start at the left margin since reply in this system gobsmacks into a wall of unreadable 🙂

But you pose the age old posit which i accept and question more or less daily.

Graspable. This word looks and sounds wrong. Does it look (or sound) nice in any language now or then used in the area now referred to as India?

Sure, the idea of hugging an idea is warm, but it also conjures a feeling of grabbing something in a firm grip. Choking, delaying, stopping!

How do we humans manage to communicate 🙂 We’re better than supposed?

Sometimes it’s not a bad idea to stop and choke off (freak outs, depression, savagery … ) And there’re some things we really enjoy grasping, yes? You ain’t kidding about the amazingness of our managing to communicate at all.

Yes. In a calm moment we can muse about our capacity to refrain from acting out. That darn endocrine/brain gland system plays havoc to the mind when the heat is on. Oooommm 🙂

Whoa! 5! Indeed Nadall, you sound toooooo nice to be that acidic. Get a re-check, but if acidic is what you are then some things become clear and obvious. Do keep me (us?) posted…

You bring it back to the reason i commented! 🙂
Seems like more and more people are gravitating to a thought pattern that may or may not be “bad for the health”.

All i can do is say “look” which i hope i did…..since when i look i’m not sure what i see.

But sometimes it feels like i’m not the only viewer from “my eyes” and yes, i just might be a squatter with “eye rights”.

See how language is and is not!. Graspable caused me to miss what the communication should have been but the word tickled other thoughts.

But i imagine you are conveying the thought of going back to an “original” thought and that we humans might understand it.

The land of endless speculation? Who is the forester and whence came he (it).
