Re-capitulation + Collaboration

December 19, 2011

An interesting afternoon today, as I went with my buddy Sanjay to visit his farm. We are going to put up a structure en-signed by me on the property as a meditation and meeting hall. It’s a Pyramid with many interesting features and a lot of matha-mythic, sacred and resonant features. i’ll un-fold and share that story as it progresses.

Being in open spaces is always a liberating feeling. I took along an electric helicopter I fly and I could just let it soar, high, high… good fun. A bee kept trying to fight it and being swept away by the wash.

Bee vs. chopper, it was quite an un-even fight and worth recording. But alas, I was bereft of recording devices, but had the joy of flying high and far. It’s an awesome, self-training hobby.

So, the talk was of green buildings and radical designs and such. Yash, a progressive thinking builder was the third person. So, now I have the opportunity to en-sign 20+ acres near Bangalore into an awesome bio-sphere. How cool is that? Very I thought and the mind is brim full of ideas. Alternative energy, holistic spaces, dimensional spaces, flow, elements, animals…. šŸ™‚

I’ll look for ideas as this progresses…. Stephen, I know you will have a few. Perhaps an apt time for your India visit? Anyone else feeling called to come? If so call, and if it feels right, come. Lot’s to be done.

And then there was this element of security and why we need bars on windows….

And it struck me that the best thief is the person thatĀ architect-edĀ the house. Or built it. Always leave back-doors.

Same for all systems. Software companies leave back-doors, or vulnerabilities because they want to be able to remote manage their software if they can and get away with it. or mine data, whatever.

But the maker/de-signer knows the best places to bet back in, or can leave such places on purpose?

True for any de-signed, constructed, architect-ed system.

True for the meta-system we grew up in And each of the sub-systems in it. BAck-doors upon back-doors.

Often triggered by symbols, sounds (Bells are a great example, sirens another, the power innate in alphabet, well before words or sentences are constructed from it…nursery rhymes… Ring a ring of roses, here in India? It was the plague song from Olde England. Why is it celebrated inĀ India.Ā AllĀ Indian kids laugh and dance and sing it….. the tales we are told, the egregores that are embellished, worshipped, deified… sports…on and on and on… war, TV……), these back doors allow us to be continuously reset to our lower, un-evolved minds. EvenĀ somethingĀ as innocuous as potty humor.

It’s a trigger to a childish state (not a child-like one).

So, if we understand the fractal nature of the uni-verse and use the software analogy, we are walking un-aware of how much vulnerability we have to being yanked around by control impulses, the back doors for which are embedded in our education system, in our social rituals, in relationship dynamics as we have been made to believe they should be, embedded by our parents (who ever wants to give up control? Most of it is now sub-conscious… most people run on auto-pilot, say things that are expected or programmed responses anyways)…….. visual symbols like the heart symbol, so powerful for it’s innate associations.

And each of these back-doors create our inner schisms.

So ,we need to re-examine, re-wind, re-capitulate.

The shaman’s journey of re-capitulation, living in exqusite detail, his or her entire life, closing all the doors left open, so they may be whole again. Con-vex. Able to hold something.

Right now, we walk like leaky sieves…. visualize that.

So, read up on re-capitulation. Rather than have the famous death-moment flash-back, go back voluntarily. Old fabric needs care. threads weaken. And doors left open long ago need to shut, gently and for-ever.

Very, very, very em-powering.

And it meansĀ facingĀ up to who you were, which is never easy. Ordinarily remembered pasts have rose-tinted halos. Re-capitulation is real. Visceral.

I’ve done it. A lot. A lot. Deeply.

And then, this absolutely amazing collaboration.

Erin, an amazing, professionally trained dancer (at the best schools in the US), danced with the best companies, Dancer/Choreographer/Teacher, who came to me via Deepintheartlifewest (thanks Nina the connector) was moved by one of the CD trailers. I sent her the music on her asking, and the magical result was this:

Check it out! Dance and Poetry by Erin and Music by yours truely. šŸ™‚

Thanks Erin, beautiful work.

So, relax these coming days, the sun isĀ gettingĀ quieter, weaker.

Then three days in the tomb. Born again on the 25th, but then we enter the 5 days out of time. It used to be a perfect world, 360 days a year. An arc for each day.

Now it’s all sped up. And so are we.

Breathe out….deeply…..

yo, long time no comment. been busy with musical creations of my own, so i’m about to plow through a major backlog, but first – are you familiar with the thoughts of Hundertwasser? I imagine his philosophy won’t be at all alien to you, but as you’re about to build I thought it apt to link:

Welcome back flip. Share some of that music? šŸ™‚

And thanks for the link. My ensign philosophy is best summed up by Hugo Kuklehaus. Have you heard of him? Read his work?

And interested to see what you think about the music I’ve up-loaded so far.

Just started reading the site you linked. Beautiful and very much in line with how I feel.

watching your guitar playing on a couple of the trailers has just humbled me, but I mean that in a good way. There is much peace in your music. I think I shall listen to it more.

mine is quite the opposite, reflective of the turbulent western way of doing things – not an excuse, merely an explanation. some of the older stuff can be heard at various corporate sites (for shame!) – I shall link just one:
I’ll be uploading some of the newer stuff quite soon, methinks.

As for Hugo, I hadn’t heard of him, no. His brief Wikipedia entry looks interesting, though the other hits from the search were all in German, and my German is sadly nonexistent… I may have a look through some of the databases we’ve got when I’m back at work and see what I can find.

šŸ™‚ So awesome to hear flip.

Very interesting sound in your music. Is that you singing too?

My guitar playing is a result of being un-taught and somewhat free. šŸ˜‰

And Hugo, I have a book by him in English…. amazing. Amazing!

            yes, yes it is.

like you, I’m largely untaught (my dad got me going and left me to it), but trying to rid myself of several ‘rock’ hangups, like the need to play lead breaks all the time. the newer stuff will demonstrate how that’s playing out – will give you the nod when i’ve put some of that up.

a collaboration of philosophy — distinctly beautiful.
    Thanks for sharing.

Each time the television news inserts a two- or three-second siren sound effect into a story (which happens a lotā€”usually accompanied by the flashing of ambulance lights), I am annoyed at the ignoble attempt to manipulate the audience by yanking us around by our brain stems. It’s that back door in our software: panic! Be afraid! Freeze!

congrats on the 20+ acres, that’s wonderful!
