Two Hammer Blows and a Random Walk…

January 20, 2013

Have you ever noticed or rather paid attention to the peculiar languaging of our times?

I’m speaking more than etymology here, much much more than that. Of course, in my world-view, Etymology is a crucial aspect of the question of languaging, but it’s the phrasing I’m speaking of. The slogans that are a part and parcel of the english speaking world, drilled into our heads from the start.

For a start, take a look at that word. Drill. School drills things into children. Soldiers perform drills. What does drilling bring to mind? This perhaps?

Why do we need things drilled into us? Drilling is invasive, forced, extractive, painful and usually does more harm than good.

Yet we go about our lives practicing drills. I’m not being facetious here. Words matter. Images matter even more and Symbols matter most of all.

Think about matter for a moment. Matter is the baseline. For everything. We are made of  matter (Matter, mater, mother, same root).

We say things that matter (speak our world into existence).

We do things that matter (make our world).

It’s all matter. So it all matters.

Now we can all under-stand that fine pre-cedes the gross, yes?

Big things are made of ever smaller building blocks. As a MATTER of fact, modern science’s holy grail is finding the smallest building blocks of MATTER.

So, while time may be a mystery, matter, real, tactile matter is easier to grasp.

Let’s take a walk from the subtle to the gross.

The subtlest element (Aether) is un-detectible to our five senses. It is what light uses as a medium. Weightless light in frictionless aether. All frequencies. When it hit’s carbon+silica (Glass) or water droplets in the air, we see it’s subtler still, with a range of visible frequencies (VIBGYOR)…

Light does not create (per se) in our reality. It merely illuminates…. colours. It’s frequencies do not densify as matter in our rather gross perceptive five sense reality.

Then comes Air. Air is the next and thus not-so subtle element. It is the medium through which we perceive sound. We know we are in it, but we cannot see it. Only feel it when it is acted upon.

Sound modulates (!!!) air. Ponder that.

From the elements that make up air comes water (H2O). And from there Earth (matter) and then Fire that irrevocably returns all the elements to the mix.

Sound is the subtlest force that modulates air from which our entire dense reality is “formed”. Thus, first there was the word and it was with God and it WAS GOD.

Words create our reality. They always have. With the increasing complexity of language came the increasing complexity of our world.

Ever wondered why you SPELL a word? It’s because words cast a SPELL. It’s really that simple.

And Spells Bind. That is what spells are for.

Thus SPELLBINDING performances.

This is not Witchcraft I’m speaking of, though witches understand this craft. It’s why it’s called the craft. Witches craft spells.

And spells bind. They bind sound into matter, by repetition usually. Or by being spoken once, but powerfully.

And everytime you pass a judgement, you make a SENTENCE. Can you judge without creating a sentence? I Like this. I do not like that. This is good. That is bad.

On and on. That is why a SENTENCE is passed at the end of a JUDGEMENT.

And if a word-spell binds, can you see what a sentence does?

Think now, if but for a moment about the judicial system and it’s curious verbiage.

And then ponder how it reflects in our daily lives.

Perhaps now it is clearer why the elders asked us to think before we speak?

We are constantly casting Spells and passing Judgments, Binding us into our reality, as spoken, every minute, every hour every day.

THAT is how important words are.

And Symbols came long before words. Think of the following Symbols and see how much they convey…

Om Symbol

Witches Brew_MED

Power-full stuff, eh?

So words are everything and pictures say a thousand words.

And we wonder whose SPELL we are under? Why life is going opposite to most natural human instincts of kindness, simplicity, beauty….hmmmmm?

Now put SOUND and PICTURES together, combine them with that subtlest of illuminators, LIGHT and throw in APPARENT TIME….. please note, Apparent time… and you have the master SpellCaster, SpellBinder…. the tool of our current faux-reality creation (ever wonder we have so much Reality Programming now…)…

Yes indeed it does. TV has done us in. Plain and simple.

Put everything above in context and THINK.

We are SPELL-BOUND by TV. And it Programs us.

And so you MUST…

Otherwise, THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING…. every day…. it’s true folks, no excuses, no getting away from this. You are NOT IMMUNE.

And now the Hammer Blows.

This one, which tells the story of our Master Witches spell casting through through the better part of the 20th century to this day, was horrifying, illuminating and heart-breaking, all together. Take the two hours, watch it and then ponder your life. It’s really that important. Really really really.

For your own sake…

Click the link above. Don’t be afraid.

The final scene is particularly telling….. and let me know what you think.

Hammer Blow 2:

The Sandy Hook Massacre, Newtown story un-ravels

Yes, sloppy spells can be broken.

The world, my friends, is a far weirder place than we can even Begin to imagine.

Rabbit holes and Worm holes and slippery slopes abound…. He Bounded away?

Bound: Tied up

Bound: Huge running leap

So there you have it…

I’ll leave you today with words from my favourite author…

The gift of words is the gift of deception and illusion.

FRANK HERBERT, Children of Dune

As always…. All Ways…. 😉

In Truth…

Black 9/11: Money, Motive, Technology, and Plausible Deniability

one more hammer for the road.
Sandy Hook, Land of Black Honda Civics
i’m thinking that human consciousness takes place in the electric
domain and has at least two contradictory? or dissimilar contexts.
one is of the material realm in a virtual time construct, the other is
the opposite, the contradiction of the other. the mind is this electric
synthesis of the contradictions experienced as awareness of “coherency”.
leading to repetition and further rarefaction of the same thing, over and
    over. to the end.
pjb recently brought up the word neters.
“In addition, a Mystery element was further understood by the Egyptian initiates. The Neters were also within humanity – ‘the Kingdom of Heaven is within’. A conscious awareness/awakening of this Mystery could be achieved through an effective rite [2]. This was one of the objectives of the priestly sages with their Temple neophytes.”.
my point is that this kingdom is not/never far but requires one’s attention
and energy be focused as you know. here another link, apologies, but
it is very instructive/revealing and relevant to your discussion. great post as always mr. v..

we have the dialectic. two. minimalists like myself are
accustomed to it. strip it all down in search of one, what is there?
the theosophic claim there is the one ” god ” and then….gender..
you. so there is two. the Christians claim a trinity, three,
and somewhere there is you, is that four or just you are composed
of three? the mind could create calculus from all this.
gender strikes again, even in consciousness? i don’t
think so, i think it is reduced to simpler and more direct,
as has been said parochial is a function of universal principle.
the idea, thought occurs as one ( principle) in what domain and
in what context?, from the many or multiple characteristics
or elements, fractal expression, creating reflections and domains in new dimensions. on and on we go ……
doom. the dome and doom manifest as precipitates of the energy
of humanity, people, the result or precipitate? of the imbalance
or excess of consciousness? after all there is only one and
my guess is that one could care less but loves us all, all the same.
so i say peace to you and all around you mr. v..

        • January 22, 2013 4:43 am

The 1 does not exist mr. m.

The one, by it’s very nature and stature, just is.

Our reality, by it’s very construct, is dual at the beginning. To pro-create needs an opposite. Another. An Other.

SO Duality. But the Trinity is then a given, since the womb into which the seed is Born has to be yet An Other.

And so on and so Fourth.

    Martin Luther King: Unfulfilled Dreams
” ..Now let me bring out another point. Whenever you set out to build a creative temple, whatever it may be, you must face the fact that there is a tension at the heart of the universe between good and evil. It’s there: a tension at the heart of the universe between good and evil. Hinduism refers to this as a struggle between illusion and reality. Platonic philosophy used to refer to it as a tension between body and soul. Zoroastrianism, a religion of old, used to refer to it as a tension between the god of light and the god of darkness. Traditional Judaism and Christianity refer to it as a tension between God and Satan. Whatever you call it, there is a struggle in the universe between good and evil.

Now not only is that struggle structured out somewhere in the external forces of the universe, it’s structured in our own lives. Psychologists have tried to grapple with it in their way, and so they say various things. Sigmund Freud used to say that this tension is a tension between what he called the id and the superego.

But you know, some of us feel that it’s a tension between God and man. And in every one of us this morning, there’s a war going on. It’s a civil war. I don’t care who you are, I don’t care where you live, there is a civil war going on in your life. And every time you set out to be good, there’s something pulling on you, telling you to be evil. It’s going on in your life. Every time you set out to love, something keeps pulling on you, trying to get you to hate. Every time you set out to be kind and say nice things about people, something is pulling on you to be jealous and envious and to spread evil gossip about them.

There’s a civil war going on. There is a schizophrenia, as the psychologists or the psychiatrists would call it, going on within all of us. And there are times that all of us know somehow that there is a Mr. Hyde and a Dr. Jekyll in us. And we end up having to cry out with Ovid, the Latin poet, “I see and approve the better things of life, but the evil things I do.” We end up having to agree with Plato that the human personality is like a charioteer with two headstrong horses, each wanting to go in different directions. Or sometimes we even have to end up crying out with Saint Augustine as he said in his Confessions, “Lord, make me pure, but not yet.” We end up crying out with the Apostle Paul, “The good that I would I do not: And the evil that I would not, that I do.” Or we end up having to say with Goethe that “there’s enough stuff in me to make both a gentleman and a rogue.”

There’s a tension at the heart of human nature. And whenever we set out to dream our dreams and to build our temples, we must be honest enough to recognize it.” ..mlk

And the thing that makes me happy is that I can hear a voice crying through the vista of time, saying: “It may not come today or it may not come tomorrow, but it is well that it is within thine heart. It’s well that you are trying.” You may not see it. The dream may not be fulfilled, but it’s just good that you have a desire to bring it into reality. It’s well that it’s in thine heart.

Thank God this morning that we do have hearts to put something meaningful in. Life is a continual story of shattered dreams.”

and a spell is like a loss of volition or in the case of
a zombie the loss of the self. or as in fainting spell a
loss of consciousness. interesting that the word spell
also has been taken as an indeterminate duration of time,
    sat down for a spell.
it could be thought of as a short circuit in consciousness or thought.
or a scar or patch in consciousness, or just a dull thought of the wrong
frequency or mass? or conversely, a very elaborate and consuming
work around a dead zone? a mal-relationship associated with
perhaps a malfunction of the physical and electrical gross systemic
“orchestration” resulting in consciousness of bliss?
    i’ll never know.

bm, as always, thanks for the fascinating links and in-sights. I followed the neter story till sleep caught up with me. Fascinating. I do believe we’ve been going Downhill since Egypt, it was the HIGH civilization of this age. In fact, I’ve seen documentaries about the great temples. They ARE initiation glyphs set in stone as it were. Resonant edifices ready to open anyone daring to be open enough. Fascinating stuff.

I passed on the TED-er. I’m anti-TED, it’s just another mouth-piece of the PTB, unfortunately. 🙂 Till the day they call me so speak I suppose!! Nah, I’ll pass on TED. Funny story, when TED first came out, late nineties, I remember promptly buying the url Seriously. Same for MLK/Gandhi/Mandela. All stooges who Said great things and did the opposite. See the conditions of Blacks in SA, Blacks in the US and India in general as proof. Let a man be known by his deeds, not his Spellbinding words eh? 🙂

But your words I’ll take anytime. Spell…..for a spell, cast a spell, can you spell spell? A spelling B…… on and on Anon. They want us to spell their way. Why?

Now I understand vows of silence well. Well Well. How deep is that well? Feeling well?
      Oh well. 😉

On the derivation of the word – Drill in the classic and most-often-taught sense derives from such as Close Order Drill, Marching Drill, and Word Drill; see middle school when Teacher announces the dreaded session. Repetitive detail – hardly a fright. Different subcultures often have a different associative priority for words with multiple meanings. Pot vs pot for example. Nail, another great associative term. I nailed the test. Going to get my nail fixed, broke it on the copy machine. Pick up a box of roofing nails.

Such thoughtful and interesting replies by everyone! Thank you.

In response to “The Joker,” I am quite certain that just as dance and its movements have a goal, so does music and its notes and its lyrics; the birds with the insects, flowers and trees; light with its colors, sounds and vibrations, etc., etc., etc.) However I believe the goals are as mysterious as the spells.

As the sentence contains words, the words contain letters. So what’s in the letters? “First there was the word” (doubtful) “and it was with God” (most definitely) “and it WAS GOD” (and it was not GOOD.) Obviously, I agree with Mr. Herbert’s quote. Call me the “fool”…but…illusions abound everywhere!

    • January 23, 2013 7:35 am

Esmeralda, if you “pay” attention long enough and with ut-most detachment, one starts to realize the deeper and deeper inter-connected-ness of the web of life. The deeper you can peer in, the clearer it becomes.
And when we can finally re-lease(!!) enough to see ourselves in and of it, we are the fool and can laugh and say what is the buddha? Three pounds of Flax! 🙂

  11. January 23, 2013 7:27 pm

Thank you! Three pounds of flax it is…and more.

I glanced at your name and saw “An Indian ant.” Yes?

So if “in-deed” a word carries a spell, then of course (not “off course”)
a letter must be “in-volved.” Therefore, if a word is spelled wrong,
it is “misspelled” and misses the spell intended. However, a different spell
is formed. Thus the term “spelling bee” (which has never had an acceptable
explanation for the “bee”) could mean quite simply: “Let the spell be.”
You may wonder about the extra “e.” Is it to confuse us with the bee?
Or will the answer “be” in what is the letter “e”? Oh yes…and then it is
important to understand what the “ing” is all about…I kid you not. (:

    • January 24, 2013 6:09 am

Nice riff Esmeralda… nice riff in-deed AND word.

Three bees landed on me during my morning walk to-day. And Spell-ing Bee’s have bee-n on my mind since the word-spell got me thinking.

So much focus on the Spell and so little on the mean-ing, except of course as a hint to the Spell-ing.

      Fascinat-ing stuff, these words.

And letters. We write letters full of sentences that are made up of letters. Hmmmmmm……. or we used to, at any rate.

Sir Francis, Bake-on and shake your spear.

      • January 24, 2013 6:05 pm

Thank you Anadianant for this morning’s love-ly laughter! (Oops…I just realized the “augh” in this word…Hmmmm…do you know?) And I was just about to write: “But I really mean it” and then thought “augh, I can’t use the word ‘mean’ here.”
“What to say…whay to do…what to speak”?

It does not surprise me about the three bees this morning and I find it quite humourous. I recently told a friend that a fly often lands on the tip of my nose (and explained to him why). Since then, it has bee(n) happening to him to(o)! (There’s that extra “o” …do you know?) In fact, it often happens this way when I tell people a fly story.

Let’s keep this word/letter thread going because there is much “hidden”
(“hideous” (from anglo-french ‘hid-us’) word) here…and it’s time (spelled backwards “emit”) to understand our abounding spells…or in other words: the spells that bind us!!!

        • January 25, 2013 5:28 am

🙂 First Anadianant… nice take(!!!) on it Es, but here is what it really means. Phonetically pronounced:
Un-Aadi-Un-unt (un is without or better yet, sans), so with-out beginning and with-out end.

Now what that says for the with-in case, I know not. I no not? I no naught? Aught I? Augh? L-augh? Ha Ha?

You may, per-chance, like this one then…

If I could, I wood, right in a lighter vein that is, but life has me focused on the arteries. Why then is gold found in Gais’s veins? Vains? Homo-nyms for Hetero Sapiens? Sapiens? The Sap of life flows where? In our veins?

          • January 26, 2013 1:10 am

(: “I see, said the blind man” — no beginning; no end…in sight. And perhaps that’s right that no end is in sight…and maybe no end at all….?
Thank you for your reply and the wonder-ful link! It is taking hours to read it all…and I will.

Now about Gaia’s veins…I think I might be “missing the point.” But this is probably better than “getting your point” because if one touches on a point…it is sharp and can hurt…so I really wouldn’t want to “get your point” nor would I want you to get mine (kid-ding-ly of course). So something that is “point-less” might be worth not-ing…or not. In French, to “make something clear” is to “mettre les points sur les i (put the points on the ‘i’s).” (I hope I got the punctuation right. And why does our punctuation have so many points…!;:??? How’s that for a pointed question? So what is the point of Gaia’s having gold in her veins…vanity sounds right…but something seems to be sap-ping my in-tell-igence right now…so that’s my dull point. Have you a counterpoint that isn’t…you know…sharp?

        • January 25, 2013 6:29 pm

if it was not so tortured and demented it would be funny.
today is an anniversary of the roe v wade decision
here in the usa. i heard radio program …anyway, here
a question relating to this gender, reproduction, rights
issue. as briefly as i can .. who has “rights” when a wo-men
becomes pregnant, and what are those rights and how do
they, the rights of the involved parties impact one another?
or, is it that there are no rights, just decisions to be made?
the question came up concerning the father’s, male, rights.
does he have the right to demand the baby be born if the
mother does not want it? does he have the right to demand
an abortion if the mother does want it? nature plays a very
powerful play on these people! it seems the male and female genders,
once having found his “bliss”, no joke, he is rendered an observer
,assistant, consultant, care giver or mortician depending on the
decision, rights, of the wo-men. that is not my opinion or wish
or argument, just an observation concerning one aspect of 1,2,3.
and there is the idea that the children are their own, not ours,
not a 3 but there own 1. but back to the male gender in the prior
scenario, what if the female decides to terminate the pregnancy
but the male wants the child to be born ..etc..
and there have been instances where the fetus has been supplied
    council, some how.
so the male gender in this reproductive parochial scandal is faced with
a social and parochial dilemma. once the sword of bliss then become
the agent and slave of persuasion and manipulation, the other option
being the agent of fear. but the fear and threat option does not promote
that which he took up his sword to defend, that being life, hence the dilemma
for the gender. but, fear not, the pentagon has lifted the ban! again,
if it was not so sick and …… it would be funny.
    back to the numbers …
? but ….there is this too ..weird math and stuff …

Hi Blindman! I think that “cata doxa” phonetically sounds the closest to “cats and dogs” but of all the ways to explain an intense rain, what about one of these options?

So my questions remain: why are dogs on this planet? Why are cats on this planet? Why is water on this planet? And lastly, of course, why are WE on this planet? And another question: What the “____” is happening on Earth that makes some of us want to escape? Hell-o there…

Thank you for your reply and your re-search.

Right after I wrote this last post, I discovered that a discovery has just been made regarding water as rain. GOOD is put-ting things “right-side up.” I think very soon you will know what “it” is and who “we” are…and “them” (the creatures) to(o)!

Water is yet unknown to us Esm. A total mystery. Those that teased open the truth were and have been suppressed. Brutally. Google Viktor Schauberger. Or Dr. Emoto.

            Or me. 😉

@ e.h. i moved here to avoid the slim margins.
typical but don’t cus’ me for it.
    many bucket references.
    Det regner skomagerdrenge
it’s raining shoemakers’ apprenticies .” from link.
    good one.
i like it is raining like popular discontent!
i used to ask why and my brother, older, would say
because “y” is a crooked letter. he is dead now, i loved him then
and still do and wonder “what”? ” what” was wondered then too,
what does/did he mean by ” ” y” is a crooked letter”? (he was funny
and messin’ with me cause he loved life, mind and me too.)
why is there water? dogs and cats, we here?
i would start out assuming, due to my brother’s influence
i suppose, there is something crooked about it. something to
do with the shape of the letter y? or the geometric asymmetry of
the water molecule which resembles that letter y in an electrical
sense, that being an expression of a more fundamental imbalance
in this environment or parochial domain. so it seems we have a
hospitable yet asymmetric domain on or in which a symmetric and
divergent biological and energetic process flourishes? the dogs
and cats seem to be different, but similar, attempts at resolving
the symmetric to the asymmetric elements and compounded world that
energy inhabits and reflects/illuminates. we. consciousness is like
the raining cats and dogs, or buckets, an excess of flow or fluidity
looking for an empty or half full glass, a valley or gully, always
finding the ocean, eventually. per- haps, from time to time.

Hmmmm, fascinating. My favourite was this one, Portuguese…

Está chovendo a cântaros / canivetes / barba de sapo / Chove como Deus a dá
it’s raining jugs / penknives / toads’ beards / It rains like God gives it

As for Sib-lings? Fascinating relationship. Cuts like a knife and caresses like a feather, depending. Glad you had a positive elder.

he gave me the life that one finds in living, that is the thing we need
to give when we can, why we are here now is my guess. i find it here
and there and honor it and respect it. many thanks.

Hi Blindman! Those margins sure are slim. How did you move your post?

Always fascinating thoughts–I’ll go with the shape of the letter “Y” (“There’s something crooked about it.”) Most definitely!

“It’s raining like popular discontent” is also one of my favorites and I am still trying to figure out why “shoemaker’s apprentices” — but I like it!

Lots of sites referring to the origins of “raining like cats and dogs” yet I suspect something much different…closer to your musings…will let you know.
