On The Question of Free Will…
It has been a while since I posted. I have put both feet, head and hands back into the world of commerce/business.
The whys of that decision I’ll save for another day. But what a fascinating experience. After 4 years of relative reclusiveness, and the attendant purity of being, there is definitely a feeling of whelm, not overwhelm, just whelm. It does feel good though. To be all light is a lie. Have got to play in the dark as well.
Be that as it May, or June…
As someone who has forgotten the art of small talk, and happily so, if I do get into conversations nowadays, more often than not, it gets steered into something of depth, essence…else I’d really rather save my breath, vital as it is.
And 6 times out of ten, or thereabouts, I get asked this question:
Do we live in a world of free will or is the universe deterministic to the extreme? The underlying question of course is this, that should I even bother trying, since it’s all happening to me and mostly not a way in which I want it anyways.
What is the role of free will? Is letting life happen to me fatalism or realism?
And this is what I realized.
We have absolute Free Will. For effect…We have absolute free will.
But only in the one thing that we can call our own.
Our body and it’s mysterious inner workings (body, mind and spirit).
We have absolute free will to eat healthy, think healthy, consume healthy, be healthy.
The only thing/s we have absolute say on is what goes into our mouths, eyes, ears, noses and in the case of a woman, vaginas.
Absolute free will. Especially as adults.
On the rest of the world, we have little to no say and that is how it is and is perfect.
But with our “self”, we are the master.
We are free to be us. We are free to polish this carbon gem into a shining diamond. We are free to live or die. We are free to practise our gifts. We are free to explore inwards, in words…un-endingly. We are free to be seekers of the extra-ordinary with-in.
That free will, used wisely…..imagine atomic energy and think for a moment how many atoms are in our bodies.
Please ponder this….we are free…..I am free to be me, fully. The journey is to know who i am.
This is the freedom that is built into the scheme of things we live in.
Practise inner freedom through constant inner discovery (dis-cover)….
All past and future selves all are available through the trap-door of the present.
We have absolute free will.
In the presence of a genuine free willer, the outer world bends, moulds to the force of their vortex.
That is the key!
